What is the ICCL?
The Inter City Catholic League (ICCL) is the athletic conference of our sports program. We will play other Catholic schools in games throughout the year and in our playoff tournaments. Some of our activities are considered club activities and are not regulated by the ICCL. For more information and to see which sports are part of the ICCL, you can go to their website. The ICCL website can be found HERE.
Can my child sign up for multiple sports at a time?
Yes. Please make sure you are making it to at least one practice a week for each sport.
Is it ok if my child plays for a club/travel team for the same sport at the same time?
Yes. Please make sure you are making it to at least one practice a week.
How many times do teams practice each week?
It depends on age level, sport, and the coach. Refer to the athletic handbook about level of play and expectations. Most teams will practice twice a week.
What are the timelines for each sport?
Click HERE to see a timeline of when our activities begin and end, as well as information about game days and locations.
When is registration?
Fall sport registration will be available in the late spring of the prior school year. Activities such as volleyball, basketball, winter cheer, and spring sports will open their registration about two months before practices start.
Are there any rules for specific levels of play?
Refer to the ICCL website to find any rule changes our leagues may use for certain levels of play. You will need to go to that specific sport and age level to find the “documents” available for viewing.
Where is the game schedule and when do schedules get posted?
Game schedules can be found on the ICCL website and on our athletic webpage (google calendar). If your child(ren) is on a St. Pius X team, you will have access to our TeamSnap account, which will allow you to view practice and game schedules on your phone or web browser. All ICCL sports will have a league coordinator that will post schedules as soon as they are available. Normally, schedules will be posted a week or two before the first game. All non-ICCL games will be scheduled by the Saint Pius X Athletic Director or the club team leader.
